CAPS: What is unplugged coding?

Unplugged coding for Grade R-3 is about teaching coding concepts (computational & problem-solving skills) without using devices. It is learning how to code without physically writing lines of code. When students are doing coding unplugged, they use their knowledge to work on computational challenges that will help them understand the concepts they'll use in coding projects. The CAPS-aligned unplugged coding will be part of the curriculum from 2025 for the Grade R-3 learners. Learn more
